Te Papa - Gallipoli Exhibition

Concept recently were honoured to be chosen by Te Papa as the main supplier for signage and exhibition graphics for the outstanding Gallipoli exhibition. Working closely with the Weta Workshop team, we produced a wide range of material from massive LED illuminated fabricated 3D lettering through to printed and water-jet cut aluminium lettering, and many, many square metres of digitally printed wall graphics and canvas prints. ..

The main entrance display stands over 6 metres high, with the large “WAR” letters 3.6 metres high internally illuminated with LED with adjustable intensity.

The smaller entrance letters are individually fabricated from MDF, and spray finished. “Gallipoli” is almost 2 metres high, and the red lettering just under a metre.

Large wall murals printed on our grand format latex machines decorate the walls. The total project consisted of several hundred square metres of print on both wall vinyl and artist’s canvas.

Large fabric hanging banners, with painted graphics.

These innovative displays were manufactured by cutting raw aluminium sheet on a CNC water-jet cutter, and then printing the images on our flat-bed UV printer so that the colour and texture of the aluminium shows through the ink. The finished lettering was then mounted off the surface of the walls for added dimension.
